Music with Mummy, Daddy, Grandma... From 12-14 months - 3 years

This
is the next step on from Jolly Babies and continues our musical
journey. The main aim is to teach basic aspects of music to young
children whilst having fun. Classes are kept small with around ten
children in a group which helps to build confidence and familiarity.
Sessions last approx. 35 minutes with extra time allowed for coming in, chatting
and leaving.

Each half term starts with a new theme e.g. ‘Home’ to introduce a musical concept e.g. ‘loud and soft’. The activities are built around these the theme and the concept. The material has been specially composed to gently direct young children towards clearly defined objectives. Many songs have simple actions and movements to accompany them.
There is always percussion time and lively activities with the chance for high quality interaction. Social skills- listening, sharing and turn taking are an important part of these classes. You can look through the pictures below to see some of the Music with Mummy activities.
